چکیده

We explore how the Jaynes-Cummings ladder transpires in the emitted spectra of a twolevel system in strong coupling with a single mode of light. We focus on the case of very strong coupling, that would be achieved with systems of exceedingly good quality (very long lifetimes for both the emitter and the cavity). We consider the incoherent regime of excitation, that is realized with semiconductors quantum dots in microcavities, and discuss how reasonable is the understanding of the systems in terms of transitions between dressed states of the Jaynes-Cummings Hamiltonian.

(p, q)-Deformations and (p, q)-Vector Coherent States of the Jaynes-Cummings Model in the Rotating Wave Approximation

Classes of (p, q)-deformations of the Jaynes-Cummings model in the rotating wave approximation are considered. Diagonalization of the Hamiltonian is performed exactly, leading to useful spectral decompositions of a series of relevant operators. The latter include ladder operators acting between adjacent energy eigenstates within two separate infinite discrete towers, except for a singleton stat...

Nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings dynamics of a trapped ion.

The Lindblad approach to open quantum systems is introduced for studying the dynamics of a single trapped ion prepared in nonclassical motional states and subjected to continuous measurement of its internal population. This results in an inhibition of the dynamics similar to the one occurring in the quantum Zeno effect. In particular, modifications to the Jaynes-Cummings collapses and revivals ...

Exactly solvable non - Hermitian Jaynes - Cummings - type Hamiltonian admitting entirely real spectra from supersymmetry

Abstract It is shown that for a given hermitian Hamiltonian possessing supersymmetry, there is always a non-hermitian Jaynes-Cummings-type Hamiltonian(JCTH) admitting entirely real spectra. The parent supersymmetric Hamiltonian and the corresponding non-hermitian JCTH are simultaneously diagonalizable. The exact eigenstates of these non-hermitian Hamiltonians are constructed algebraically for c...

QuantuM Optics correlations on a chip

cavity quantum electrodynamics describes the behaviour of a quantum emitter inside an optical cavity, and is one of the few realizable experimental systems in which the coherent interaction between the emitter and the cavity mode can exceed dissipative and dephasing processes. Recent advances in this field include the observation of vacuum Rabi splitting1–3, interference4, upconversion5 and the...

Cavity-damping-induced transitions in a driven atom- cavity system.

We investigate the fluorescence spectrum of a two-level atom in a cavity when the atom is driven by a classical field. We show that forbidden dipole transitions in the Jaynes-Cummings ladder structure are induced in the presence of cavity damping, which deteriorates the degree of otherwise perfect destructive interference among the transition channels. With the larger cavity decay, these transi...
